The Donskaya Arkheologia journal was established in the fall of 1998 by a spearhead which mainly consisted of archaeologists – Rostov State University graduates and teachers. The journal staff members are those who work at RSU and Rostov Regional Museum of Local Lore. Here a wide rage of questions on the archaeology of the North Caucasus and adjacent territories are reflected. We also welcome in our journal interdisciplinary articles.
The journal is published four times a year. Fifteen issues (ten books since some issues were combined) have been printed by now. Each book contains 112 to 188 pages plus 4 pages (minimum) of colour illustrations. The chronological range covered in the articles stretches from Palaeolithic to Medieval times.
The site has the materials which are associated not only with the journal, but with the Lower Don group of the Don-land integrated archaeological expedition headed by the journal editor-in-chief V.Ye.Maksimenko and editor V.V.Klyutchnikov. You may also find information concerning the excavations of the previous seasons at our site. Our excavations are also described at our foreign partners' sites
